Finally got aropund to building a website and blog so I can explain what I'm doing building an airplane in my garage (durring the summer) and in the basement workshop (during the winter). I started in later summer 2008 by building a worktable that I could disassemble in the fall in order to get my car into the garage.
In the time that has passed since that first effort, I've completed the horizontal stabilizer, the vertical stabilizer, the fuselage and most of the internal fusalage bulkheads. This winter, I've completed many of the internal metal idlers, bellcranks and brackets as well asthe wing ribs. By spring, I will be ready to finish the fuselage internals, attach both the stabilizers, the seat back and the turtle deck.
As summer progresses, I'll begin building the main wing structure with a goal of having the wing complete by the time I have to move indoors at the end of september.
